Google (Nasdaq:GOOG) looks like they will settle privacy complaints with FTC for about $22.5 million. For the FTC this is like kissing your sister. Does not count but slightly creepy. The legal fees for Google are probably north of $22.5 million. FTC probably could not get the scalp they wanted so they settled for something less.
Lets read the fine print and see if Google needs to change behaviour or have they just been rewarded. The sad news is this is the largest fine ever from the FTC.
