Marvel Technology Group (Nasdaq:MRVL) investors all belong to the just shoot me club. Following stock option controversies, the bizarre case of a husband and wife team pretending independence and the SEC investigation of many a material event the core business that of managing and exploiting technology is also blowing up. A jury has awarded damages to Carnegie Mellon University for patent infringement.

While subject to appeal very few are disputing the merits of the case. Marvell infringed on Carnegie Mellon’s patent. Attempting to comply with the financial settlement will be near impossible.

Whats left. A circle of grim reapers has formed around the corporate carcass. The controlling managers are beginning to notice tighter circles. A new product or hot-shot sales team will not solve your problems.

The end is near. Ask not for whom the bell tolls for the bell tolls for thee.
