AOL is about to release earnings. Ponder the Bear Case Scenario. Is there even a Bull Case Scenario.
AOL is still living off the fat of earlier glories. The brand is not known for content or high speeds. Although it purports to offer both. The offering is horizontal attempting to engage all viewers with everything much as olde school TV networks did. TV networks are shadows of their former selves and so is AOL.
Twitter Hula and like excite users because of compelling value propositions. AOL just does not. A few properties here and there; but the portfolio is lacklustre.
They no longer are the disruptors. They resemble a damaged assault vehicle from yesterdays battle.
