Tata dominates in markets which are in extreme pollution crisis. More gas burning internal combustion engines does not work. Governments will need to resort to increasing draconian measures to solve the pollution problem. Tata does not have answers.
Tata is somewhat reliant on a few luxury brands. There is little to no loyalty in luxury brands. Heads are turned easily with the next cool thing.
Further passenger car penetration in several Asian markets such as India and perhaps China may be next to impossible. The markets rely on cheap scooters and cannot price in more expensive cars.
